Steampunked Royal Butterflies

Another tag I wanted to share.  I entered this tag at the Stampoutique's Designer Team Challenge. Swing by and see what all the talk is about.  They make some cool quirky stamps that have caught my attention.  They are perfect for this time of the year, which I LOVE very much! It seems that when a new season kicks in, I reach a point of no return.
I see entries of people wanting to stay on their DT and many wanting to get in, they're doing something right.  Don't want to miss out on the action.

What fun I had making this tag!  I ran the tag through my Vagabond using TH Textured Woodgrain folder, distressed around the tag with TH Distressor tool then I colored it with DI Spiced  Marmalade a dab of Wild Honey and Black Soot.

Added Sprocket Gears, a Pen Nib for the body of one butterfly.  I only used the leaf vine from TH Royal Crest Die, used DI and Glossy Accent.  I also added veins to each leaf with a micron pen and topped it off with a tulip shaped flower that I inked up with Aged Mahogany DI.
With most of my art pieces I try to add the color burgundy in memory of my mom who passed away to Breast Cancer when she was only 56 y.o.

A piece of grunge paper with Stampers Anonymous stamp, "Stuff to Say" (CMS110) on it. I used DIs Spiced Marmalade and then crumbled it in my hand and added DI Black Soot around the edges and lightly to bring out the crease lines.

The butterflies were cut out of grunge paper.  Ranger's Grunge paper was used to dry embossed with TH's Retro Circles Texture Folder and then cut with TH Mini Butterflies Movers & Shapers Die.

Used my melting pot with beeswax and brushed it over the stamped grunge paper with the SA, "Stuff to Say" Stamp.  I used Ranger's black archival ink

I added a small TH Game Spinners to create the body of one butterfly before I did that I used Ranger's Glossy Accents.  I then added some tiny gems I had laying around.  I was very happy with the way this tag turned out.

I wrapped the wire around the beeswaxed grunged paper and a crown I had purchased from

And I was a happy camper!
