CLOWNING AROUND WITH METAL

Wow, I cannot begin to tell you how much fun I had messing around with this clown.  All my life I've been surrounded by clowns.  I have a brother who's a clown, I worked with a bunch of clowns,
and I even married a clown.
To this day... he still makes me laugh, he's my hubby and
his name is Wayne, "Wayne the pain"
and we have been growing old together.
It's always ANYTHING GOES over at the
Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog.
Hope you can hop over to see what my teammates have created.

I began with this beautiful image created by artist, Rick St.dennis.  I've been a long time fan of Rick St. dennis, stop by and take a look.  I love them!
I used the following Copic Pens.
R000, R00, R07, R08, R14, R24, R29, R37, R46, C1, C3, C4, C9, 100 and Multi-Liner 0.3
I used Silver Holografic Ripple paper from Michaels, added ribbon I purchased from Retro Art Cafe.  I used the following
Alteration Dies, Raven & Scaredy Cat, Window Box, Umbrella Man and Movers & Shapers, Mini Butterflies.  I also used TH Texture Fade, Rays & Retro Circles.
I used adhesive metallic paper on all the die cutouts.  I gave it texture by going over them with my embossing tool kit.  Stamped an image of Charlie Chaplain onto transparency film and placed him in there with a skeleton peeking through.  Charlie seems like he's giving the clown a sarcastic look as to say, "really.... really!?"
Or, is he looking at the spider?
I'm a Charlie Chaplain fan.

A large wooden gear was painted with Red Acrylic paint, and a 3" metal circle was glued on top of the gear.

Black and red 26 gauge wire was cut and set aside.  A Martha Stewart balloon punch was used with red and silver Holographic Ripple paper, I punched 6 red, and 6 silver balloons.
I sandwiched the balloons and matching wire with pop dots and made sure they were all facing the same direction.

The window was popped up and I used red wrinkle foiled ribbon as curtains and a piece of clear plastic for a glass affect.  I placed a Recollections red pearl as an eye for the cat and used an embossing pen on him.
The black wire was used to hold the mask and was held in place with glue dots.

The red bicycle is one of two I had purchased at Hobby Lobby in the past.  It was secured in place with stronger glue dots.  I added the spider and web (Hobby Lobby Fairy Tale Charm) in place with black wire (not visible).

Last but not least, was the Umbrella Man that I cut out using Shrink Plastic from Michaels.  Followed instructions to shrink and I removed his umbrella and adhered him with pop dots.  I then used a black Copic Pen to paint him.  I placed chipboard behind the clown and the entire silver Holografic Ripple paper.
Hopefully, I threw some inspiration your way!
A big THANK YOU to Rick St. Dennis for allowing
us to play with his wonderful images!!
May you have a great day...
and
May the Force be with you!
