This month we are being sponsored by

"SheepSki Designs"

and

"Beat Paper."

I decided to go with the beautiful, steampunk digital image named, "Victoria" from SheepSki Designs.

I began by downloading the image onto Neenah paper which works great, if you're using Copic markers.
I colored in my image with the following markers:  CO, C2, C5, C7, E0000, E000, E11, E13, E15, E21, E37, E53, E97 Y8, Y26, Y28 and Copic Multiliners: 0.03,  0.05

After I completed coloring my image I carefully cut it out "fussy cutting" using precision scissors and an exacto knife by Tim Holtz.

Then began to prep the back of the 5x7 shadow box which I purchased on sale from Michaels.  Using a Dremel a small hole was drilled into the lower back part of the panel.

I chose to add lighting inside the shadow box.  Carefully I fed the string of micro lights through the hole and secured the end with a piece of tape.

I manipulated the micro lights to fit tightly around the inner part of the back panel,  by eye I spaced each light evenly apart from each other and tested the lights.

Pop dots were placed behind the image which gave it a nice 3D effect and moved my gear embellishments around to see where would be the best place to adhere them down.

I used Copic marker E59 to color some smaller gears and adhered them inside the larger ones.
The large gears have weight to them so I used strong glue dots and a bit of Glossy Accent to adhere them onto the background panel.  I found a flat metal butterfly in my stash and I carefully bent the wings up a bit, used red wire to make antennaes and some red rhinestones to create the body of the butterfly and placed it on the left side of the large half of a gear in the center, I did the same on the right side of that same gear.  Added a steampunk butterfly some tiny red rhinestones as well.

Glossy Accent was used around the brim of her hat, goggle lenses, neck brace, lips, and leather arm belts.  I also cut a gear in half, colored it red and adhered it to her collar with Glossy Accent.

I used some red coated wire and placed it around her wrists, and added Glossy Accent on her gold bracelet and grey bangles.

Placed a red metallic parasol on her side, retested the micro lights and called it the day.

Hope you enjoyed my project and were inspired enough to make your own project.  Please take a look at other images our sponsor is offering and don't forget to swing by                                                   A Perfect Time To Craft Challenge
